Quick upgrade of bed divan with some fabric I picked up for a great price . This is what I used it for.

I pulled off the very dated grey velvet valance that I realized had literally become part of the furniture and I didn’t even like.so first and most important rule of design; CHUCK STUFF OUT! It costs nothing and can be a vast improvement to the look of a space.
Sadly although the valance was ‘orrible so was what was underneath it. Rickety draws, covered in cheap, tea-stained fabric. I scrubbed them, dried them then whipped out my life -saving double sided sticky tape. It took me a couple of hours to cut and stick my lovely fabric over the base which was instantly satisfying. I made sure to pattern match all the way around and with the direction of the headboard. I added a few headless tacks at corners where the fabric felt taut and in need of support. The bed now makes such a great impact. Me so happy!
It’s an easy fix so choose your fabric and don’t settle for a boring -looking bed or anything boring at all, come to think of it. 🧐
